Minus Circus in illustrious company in Sydney

Minus Circus will be performing in the home of The Whitlams, in Newtowns Sandringham Hotel in Feb 28. He will be performing before Sydney golden boy, Jack Carty, who is well worth checking out on myspace.

Also Minus Circus will perform on March 6th, again with Jack, in Sydneys gorgeous Will and Tobys on Taylors Square. Tickets are on sale now and priced at 10AUD.

Happy New Year to you all. Last year was a fantastic year, alot of great things happened that should make 2008 even better. We had over 65,000 plays on the Minus Circus myspace, recorded 'Hide & Seek', started pre-production for the debut album, and performed in US, UK, Ireland and Australia!

Thanks to everyone who came to shows, downloaded music, told friends about Minus Circus, checked out the websites, listened to the songs, read the blogs....

New Sydney show - and EP update

There has been some additions to the Minus Circus "Live" page - with another solo show in Sydneys 'Cat and Fiddle' on the 2nd Jan. Doors are at 8pm.

The EP has returned from mastering, where Joe Gastwirt (Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Fleetwood Mac, Carly Simon, Michael Jackson) applied the finishing touches to the new CD. It's sounding really well - and hope 2008 is a good one!

Have a great Christmas and a happy new year. Thanks for an amazing 2007, and heres to building on everything good that happened this year.

Sun in the Sky, you know how I feel

"So it's by the sea I play each day". Sydney is wonderful, and have been ato a few wonerful gigs already out here. Many thanks to everyone who made me feel so at home in Sydney yesterday in The Cat and Fiddle Hotel. It was a great day and alot of fun was had.

There's 4 new tracks online at minuscircus.com - these are Foolproof, Waiting for the Sun, Hangin' Around and Numbers. All these tracks are from the album 'X marks the Spot' due out in 2008, and will be on the website for a limited time only.

They were recorded in Salt Studios in Dublin, and featured Colum O Gorman, Steven Ryan and Kevin Synott.

Sugar Club/Tullamore

Thanks to everyone who made the trip out on a wet, grey Tuesday night to see Minus Circus in The Sugar Club. A great night was had by all, and the evening had a little bit of everything for everyone, such as pyrotechnics (amps blowing), although thank god all this happened in sound check! It meant alot that people still made the effort to come out on the night.

Next gig should prove to be a little sunnier and warmer in Sydney!

Minus Circus has been in Salt Recording studio recording tracks for the future album which is penned for middle of 2008. The tracks so far have been: Numbers, Waiting for the Sun, Hangin Around and Foolproof. There should be samplers on the media player on the website in the next few days.

The long awaited website goes live. Alot of hours and emails, and keys have been hit in the creation of this website. As it's still brand spanking new, if you find any spelling errors or come across any problems, we would really appreciate it if you let us know!

The website is built on all elements that Minus Circus lives with and surrounds himself with, and helps with his creativity!

The long awaited and eagerly anticipated EP, "Hide & Seek", is finally ready and is almost upon us. Minus Circus having returned from LA after recording his 2nd studio EP with Rafa Sardina and Cheche Alara. Los Angeles based ten-time Grammy-winner Rafa Sardina has worked with Macy Gray, Stevie Wonder, Dr Dre, Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crow, Marc Antoine, Angie Stone and Alejandro Sanz, among others. Co-producing with Rafa was one of LA's finest arrangers Cheche Alara (High School Musical, Christina Aguilera, Paulina Rubio).

The band who recorded with Minus Circus were made up of Peter Thorn on guitar (Linda Perry, Courtney Love, Chris Cornell), Sean Hurley on bass (John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Ringo Starr), and Toss Panos on drums (Steve Vai, Draco, Andy Summers).
